2017 Pretzel Polka Run/Walk/Zero K

 


For the third year in a row the Randy Schopen Foundation, JCF will be holding a Run/Walk/Zero K Saturday, September 16th. This family-friendly event will take place in conjunction with Gemuetlichkeit Days and will be held at the Jefferson County Fair Park. All proceeds from the event will go to The Randy Schopen Foundation grant program.

Event Information

Date: Saturday, September, 16th, 2017

Location: Gemuetlichkeit Days, Jefferson County Fair Park, 503 North Jackson Ave., Jefferson, WI

Time: 9:00 AM

Check-In And On-Site Registration: 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM, Saturday, September 16th

Stay after the event for a full lineup of Gemuetlichkeit Days activities!

The Run

The 5K fun run will start and finish at the Jefferson County Fair Park. The run will be timed and awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers.

The Walk

The two-mile walk, which starts and finishes at the Jefferson County Fair Park, will be fun for all ages.

What Is A “Zero K”?

Want to help The Randy Schopen Foundation but running or walking isn’t your thing? By registering for the Zero K option, you’ll get all the cool stuff, including a free beer (must be 21 or over), the event t-shirt, and all the free “swag” that is normally reserved for only the runners and walkers.  You will also get the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to make your community a better place. 

The day of the event, all the Zero K participants will line up at the starting line and walk over to the beer tent for their free beer.

New For 2017 Team Registration

Get your family and friends together for a fun morning! This year you can register as a team of five runners or a combination of five walkers and Zero K participants. A team of five runners is only $125 and a team of five walkers and/or Zero K participants is only $100.

Register Early!

If you register before Friday, August 1st registration is only:

  • $30 per Runner

  • $25 per Walker

  • $25 per 0K Participant

On or after Friday, August 1st registration is:

  • $35 per Runner

  • $30 per Walker

  • $30 per 0K Participant

Every registration includes a free beer (must be 21 or over), the event t-shirt, and all the free “swag.” Any registrations on or after Thursday September 1st will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.

Parking

Ample parking will be available at the Jefferson County Fair Park.

Capn's Roadhouse Holiday Party and Fundraiser December 24th

Capn's Roadhouse (855 Lexington Boulevard, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538) will be holding a holiday party on December 24th from 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM.   

Live Auction at 1pm
Steak Paddles before and after auction
Special Guest Bartenders with tips going to charities

Other Fun & Games

 

Charitable proceeds will benefit the Randy Schopen Foundation, JCF and Tomorrow's Hope.  This fun event will be reminiscent of the "Stockholder's meeting" that Randy held every year at Capn's on Christmas Eve.  Christmas Eve is a busy time, but if you have a few minutes, stop out, catch up with old friends, and help two great causes that make a direct, positive, impact on the lives of your family, friends, and neighbors.
