The Randy Schopen Foundation is pleased to support Shop With a Cop of Jefferson County with a $2,000 grant. The Sheriff’s Department works with Jefferson County Human Services to identify children in need to give them the opportunity to interact with law enforcement to shop for Christmas gifts of toys, clothing and other necessities, followed by a gift wrapping pizza party. Last year, 32 families benefited from this program, and the goal is to be able to increase that number. Representing the Randy Schopen Foundation is Bill Meinel presenting the check to Captain Chad Roberts of the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department.
