Saturday, May 19th, was Armed Forces Day.  In honor of Armed Forces day one local organization, Operation Celebrate Freedom, paid tribute to the men and women serving in the U.S. military by holding a motorcycle “Freedom Ride”, followed by a celebration with food, live music, and a ceremony to remember and thank those who have served in the miltary.  Operation Celebrate Freedom raises money for local veterans services, and The Fischer House of Wisconsin.  The Fisher House is a “home away from home” for military and veterans’ families so they can be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease, or injury.  Randy Schopen was a founding member of Operation Celebrate Freedom.
