The Randy Schopen Foundation awarded a $3,000 grant to The Humane Society of Jefferson County to assist The Humane Society with their Capital Campaign. The goal of the campaign is to build a new, cost-efficient facility that allows the society to continue to provide exceptional animal care, deliver excellent service to the communities in our area and expand their outreach programs while focusing on a culture of kindness. The project includes land acquisition, architectural and consulting fees, site prep, building construction, interior and exterior furnishings, fencing, landscaping, and initial start up costs of operation.
