In conjunction with the annual Pretzel Run/Walk/Zero K, the Randy Schopen Foundation presented a check for $1,000 to the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Deputy Association’s Shop With A Cop project. The SWAC committee works with area school districts and Jefferson Co. Human Services to provide children of families in need, who are working diligently in school, the opportunity to interact with law enforcement in a positive environment while giving children a sense of satisfaction of providing Christmas gifts for their families by shopping and wrapping gifts with sheriff’s deputies. The event is scheduled for December 11, 2021.
