The Randy Schopen Foundation is pleased to report the following grants awarded in August, 2024:

– A grant to a dedicated full-time student, working two jobs who fell behind on school payments and rent.

– A $2,000 grant to Jefferson County Shop With a Cop 2024.

– A grant to a mom forced to move in with her parents to leave an abusive situation with her daughter, trying to establish her own apartment, who requested help with moving expenses. She also cares for an autistic brother.

– A grant requested by a homeless couple, husband disabled and wife just secured employment, requesting help paying for a motel until she receives her first pay check.

– A grant to the Jefferson Senior Activity Center towards their fundraising project for AED replacement, to be compatible with Jefferson EMS/Fire Department.

– A grant to a single mom of three children on disability and homeless, requesting help for living expenses, school supplies and children’s clothing.

Two grant applications are pending. The Randy Schopen grant committee requires and checks all references.
