The Randy Schopen Foundation will be holding an “Amazing Fundracer” on Saturday, September 5th. The “Fundracer is inspired by the popular TV show The Amazing Race. Participants will organize a team of up to six people. The team will follow clues to different locations throughout Jefferson County, and at each location, they will be asked to complete a challenge in order to receive their next clue. At each location the team will complete a challenge in order to receive their next clue. The first team to follow the clues and make it to the Jefferson Fireworks celebration is the winner. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers.
The event will kick off outside Rock Bottom in Jefferson. The race begins at 2:00 pm when the first clue will be handed out. Registration can be done online in advance or the day of the event starting at 12:30 pm. Come early and enjoy some lunch at Stable Rock Winery, Rock Bottom, or have a picnic in Rotary park.
This family-friendly event for all ages will support The Randy Schopen Foundation Grant Program.
We are asking each team to decide how much they would like to pay to enter, with a suggestion of a $5.00 per person donation. However, we want people to participate and have a fun day, so feel free to participate without charge.
